Safety at Servall Electric Company, Inc.
Servall Electric Company, Inc. has a robust safety program. We have an on staff safety director. Our safety director inspects and monitors every project. Our safety record is most easily demonstrated by our EMR (experience modification rate). Our EMR for worker’s compensation claims (as a 4 year average) are 5 times lower than other company’s average (of like size and type of business) where 1.0 is the average company’s industry standard.
Our routine safety program includes:
- Driving record checks for all employees
- Pre-employment drug and/or alcohol screening for all employees
- Random drug and/or alcohol screenings for employees
- Criminal background check (pre-employment)
- Weekly Toolbox talks
- MSDS either onsite or at office
- Safety inspections by Job Lead daily, noted on daily job log
- Incident reports as needed
- Inspection of incident reports to find out the why & how, for future prevention
- A written safety manual with safety policies and procedures (available on request to any customer)
- Minimum OSHA 10 hour training for all field employees
- Additional safety training after employee is hired
- Daily tool inspections by employees
- Bi-Annual tool inspection by Warehouse Manager
